Meet the mage behind the madness.

The Indigo Rain Shop Story

It all started back in 2020 when I got involved with WitchTok, the place where brain cells went to die.
Just kidding. It started way before that.

I grew up in a Christian family and attended Christian school my entire life, from childhood all the way through college. Though my upbringing was rooted in Christianity, there was no denying that the women who raised me were spiritually gifted (by God, in their words): my mother had mediumship abilities, my aunt has prophetic dreams, and my grandmother carried the gift of foresight. While I had a mostly positive experience with religion, I always sensed there was more to the spiritual world than a simple good-versus-evil narrative. My years in Christian education gave me opportunity to learn theology, philosophy, and religious history, but amidst this I also learned critical thinking which has ultimately shaped how I approach spirituality today.

Beginning in high school, I started exploring different divination techniques, namely tarot. I was afraid I'd be struck down by God for it, but spoiler: I wasn't. In college, I secretly studied under a close friend of Raymond Buckland and dove into Wicca. It was informative, but it didn’t quite fit the path I was meant to walk.

After stepping away from Wicca, I spent about a year focusing on my personal practice, college, and simply trying to keep life in motion. But everything shifted for me in 2022 when I unexpectedly lost both my mother and grandmother within a week of each other. Their passing cracked something open in me, something that refused to be ignored. Like many, grief pushed me deeper into my spiritual path, not away from it. In 2024, a local up-and-coming metaphysical shop found my profile and reached out, offering me the chance to help build a spiritual community in Escondido, California. I’ve been there ever since, serving as shop manager, house tarot reader, and spiritual educator, working to make metaphysical tools and education more accessible, honest, and realistic.

While I gained traction on WitchTok in 2020, life (and grief) pulled me in other directions. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that this path isn’t something I chose, it’s something that keeps choosing me. The more I’ve tried to ignore it, the louder it’s gotten.

Today, I’m a professional diviner, teacher, and practitioner with gratitude for the roots I come from and the traditions I’ve studied. I hold a bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology, and I absolutely love finding ways to blend my scientific knowledge with spiritual frameworks. Not to explain magick away, but to honor the validity of it from multiple angles.

The moment you think you know it all is the moment your practice stops growing.

I work with several forms of divination including Tarot (Rider-Waite based), Lenormand, crystal ball scrying, black mirror scrying, and water scrying. My practice is grounded in years of research and personal experience, and my studies include Wicca, ceremonial magick, Appalachian folk magick, Pennsylvania Dutch folk healing, and currently, planetary magick. I’m especially passionate about studying the history of Western esotericism and celestial-based spiritual systems.

In addition to offering a variety of readings, I teach classes on tarot, planetary and ceremonial magick, spiritual protection, and divination. I also lead full moon ceremonies and rituals in my community, and offer spiritual counseling to those seeking guidance in their practice or personal life.

My mission is simple: to offer accessible, affordable spiritual tools and education without gatekeeping, gimmicks, or fluff. I work with people who take their practice seriously, who value both curiosity and integrity, and who want something deeper than surface-level spirituality. Wherever you are in your path, I’m here to offer grounded support and real resources, and to remind you that no one has all the answers - we’re all on a continued path of learning and that’s to be celebrated.
